Welcome to my website. I am a time-served, fully City and Guilds qualified Cabinet Maker, with over 25 years experience in the industry. In addition to my work "on the bench" making all manner of timber based products, from high-end to low-end, commercial and residential, I am a fully City and Guilds qualified Computer Aided Design Draftsman as well. I have worked on drawings for exquisite London townhouse furniture, all the way through to economy kitchens. So you can rest assured that I know a thing or two about wood!

I offer a fully bespoke service, based on your exact requirements. I will take your brief, design your project to your complete satisfaction, using my fully licensed SOLIDWORKS 3D CAD package (where appropriate), build your project, finish it, and install it as necessary. My aim is always to put the customer first, and provide a friendly, efficient and clean service with after-sales care to match. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you feel I may be able to help you with any timber-based project you have in mind. I'm here to help.

I have been a semi-professional Luthier for many years. I have designed, built, finished and wired many electric guitars in the past, and would be very happy to help you with your needs for a fully custom built guitar (electric, semi-solid electric, acoustic or bass guitar). Or, indeed, if you feel you would like me to upgrade the Cabinet on your favourite guitar Amp!

Since moving to Stranraer in 2018, I have been an active member of the Stranraer St Ayles Skiff Project, down at the Rowing Club boathouse on the front at Stranraer. Having made their first Skiff "Lady Bay" in 2017, I joined the Skiff Project with the build of the second boat, "Milleur Maid". I became the main builder of "Millie", doing all the necessary joinery, before the components were glued together by the whole team. Once "Millie" was fully built, I then designed and cut the figureheads for both her, and Lady bay, which were on full display in the recent World Skiffy Championships, held on Loch Ryan in July this year (2019).

Please feel free to browse the pages of my website. These pages are just a tiny sample of the many varied projects I have undertaken through the years. They represent snapshots I've managed to grab, in the workshop, or in the client's home, before the project is completed (many clients don't even allow photos to be taken of their projects (my work) for security reasons). I only wish my photography skills were up to that of my Cabinet Making skills!
